Regular dentures used by patients can be fixed to jaws by implants support and they can be detached easily. Usually take support from 2-3 implants fixed in the jaw. These dentures can be easily removed and placed back in fixed position by the patient. These minimum numbers of implants will hold the denture in a firm position so that they don't move during chewing, talking etc. but they should be removed and kept in water at night just as dentures without implants.
It's a natural process of human jaws to get reabsorbed (Dissolves) once there is no tooth in jaws (Called Alveolar bone resorption). Edentulous patients (Patients with lack of any teeth) are usually full mouth dentures wearers. So over a period of time, they notice that their dentures are becoming loose year by year so that they start wobbling during speech, may slip out of mouth, not able to chew soft diet etc. Options exist for such patients to go with full mouth fixed bridge or full mouth hybrid dentures.
But every patient might not be able to afford so many implants but they also need quality of life at that age. In such situations, the best option would be Implant supported removable dentures.
